Fitzgerald Realty Group, Inc. is honored to announce that Ruppert Properties’ “The Firehouse” has won the 2019 Modern Masterpiece Award — one of the prestigious categories in the Frederick Real Estate Dealmakers (FRED) Awards presented by the Frederick County Office of Economic Development.

Award winners were announced on Thursday, April 11, 2019, during the FRED Awards ceremony. The annual awards honor successful commercial real estate achievements in Frederick County. Local professionals from Frederick County’s commercial real estate, design, and construction industries were present to celebrate the county’s progress made this year. The Modern Masterpiece Award specifically recognizes the unique challenges faced when renovating older or historic local properties into spaces that contribute to area revitalization.

The Firehouse in Downtown Frederick is the epitome of a modern masterpiece. The building located at 12 West Church Street in the heart of Downtown Frederick was originally constructed as a firehouse in the mid-1800’s. Ruppert Properties purchased it last year and refurbished it into a modern commercial office building while maintaining its historic charm and authentic character. Today it offers unique office suites for lease with modern amenities in a premier Downtown Frederick location.

This was not the first win for Fitzgerald Realty Group, Inc. at the FRED Awards. Ruppert Properties’ Monocacy Trading Center building won the 2017 Modern Masterpiece Award for renovating the former Rotorex Manufacturing Plant into a modern multi-tenant industrial facility. Grateful for both awards from the Frederick County Office of Economic Development, we recognize the achievements and congratulate the other winners of this year’s FRED Awards.
