The Oldest and Largest Ginkgo Tree in America

World's Oldest Ginko Tree

Did you know that the oldest and largest Ginkgo tree registered in the United States resides in the heart of downtown? This Ginkgo tree is a USDA Certified tree of its kind, dated back to 1801, making it 219 years old. The tree was grown in the plot of land directly beside the Hannah House, one of Frederick's oldest properties. The Hannah House was built in 1750, over twenty years before America gained its independence from England.
